Mesopotamiens at the Arabian Music Institue in Paris
Rosazul presents for the first time in France the Iraquian quartet. Its director, Wessam Al-Azzawy, old professor from the Music Institute of Baghdad who currently lives in Amsterdam, will do a master class before the show. He will talk about his instrument, santour, and will explain its origin and the development of Iraquian Maqam.
The line-up will be Wessam Al-Azzawy (santour), Osama Abdulrasol (kanoun), Hawar Basem (joza) and Yihab Al-Azzawy (percussion)
The show will be on Saturday 31 January at 8:30pm at Institut du Monde Arabe, in Paris.
