Duet Series "De tu a tu" in Cajamadrid

  • 14-07-2009

New series of duets in the Auditorium of Cajamadrid in Barcelona: two and only two facing the silence, side by side, with no way out to escape, both knowing that their commitment is dialogue, exchange, the attack and counterattack in a game of chess where, once towers and pawns have been defeated, both kings will eventually result in a dead draw.

This series of 6 concerts presents two soloists from different genres that will dialogue with their instruments during an hour. Mikha Violin for example, usually works in public spaces in Barcelona: Plaza Cataluña or the tube stations are his favourite stages. He is known and recognized by pedestrians, who consider him as typical from Barcelona as the Japanese who visit Casa Batlló. On the other hand, the singer from Cape Verde Bino Barros has already a considerable musical background: a newcomer to the city, he is starting to be known in many clubs of Gracia and Ciutat Vella. Geni Barry, memorable Tete Montoliu’s spoilt child, is today one of the first jazz national masters. Please refer to calendar for dates.
