The Lebanese pianist and composer Wassim Soubra offered a concert on March 24 at the French Institute in Barcelona, after almost a year of having been rescheduled three times due to the health situation. With a capacity of 50% of the hall, Soubra offered us a concert full of exciting moments; a recital in which he presented the compositions that shape his work dedicated to peace in his country.

Soubra demonstrated exquisite piano sensitivity and technique and gave us the luxury of being able to disconnect for more than an hour from the restrictive environment of everyday life.

Wassim Soubra offered a palette of sounds in which he combined his compositions with a selection of poems by the Lebanese poet Nadia Tueni, recited alternately in French and Spanish. This delicate combination made us go through all kinds of emotions: from love to fear and from death to life, transporting us from the city of Barcelona to the capital of Lebanon, Beirut.

After this magnificent combination of music and poetry, the very young Mila Fernández entered the scene, a dancer who at only twenty years old, did not leave anyone indifferent with her enchanting movements born of improvisation and her harmonious spontaneity.

The concert, with an unavoidable encore, was presented by the director of the Institute, Mr. Max Vasseur and broadcasted live through the El Susurro platform.
