Bio

The band is integrated by a trio: piano, double bass and drums plus the energetic vocals of Ster Wax and the explosive tenor sax of Dani Perez.

His pianist and music director, David Giorcelli, is recognized as one of the top blues pianists in the Spanish scene. He has performed in festivals such as Lugano (Switzerland), Montparnasse (Paris), Chuchlow (Poland) and Laroquebrou Festival (France), this last considered one of the top festivals in the genre. He has also released two albums with his own trio.

Ster Wax was the leader of the band Mambo Jambo who regularly performed at the Apolo venue in Barcelona during 2012.

Wax & Boogie Rhythm Combo creates on stage an astonishing experience, altering the public's biorhythms since the very first song, creating a vibrant atmosphere and awakening the audience's enthusiasm.

The band has performed in Spanish festivals such as Hondarribia, Cerdanyola or Benicàssim and regularlly play at the Caveau de la Huchette in Paris.

Their first album released in 2012 was recorded live at the Cocktail bar Milano in Barcelona under the title Lost in a dream (Milano Club Blues nights). On April 2014 they present their second cd entitled Everynight where Giorcelli's own compositions are combined with standards, playing blues, swing and boogie woogie at their best.
